          <ul>
            <li><strong>1916</strong> - Born in Madurai, India</li>
            <li><strong>1926</strong> - Made her stage debut, at Madurai Sethupati High School.</li>
            <li><strong>1927</strong> - Startled her audience with her melodious voice and excellence over music, in the 100 pillar hall inside the Rockfort Temple, Tiruchirappalli.</li>
            <li><strong>1932</strong> - First performance at the prestigious Madras Music Academy (MMA).   Her performance was both mesmerizing and hypnotic and earned her the title of being a musical genius. Karaikudi Sambasiva Iyer acknowledged her prowess by stating that she ‘carried the veena’ in her throat. </li> 
             <li><strong>1943</strong>Participated in the Mumbai Vikramaditya Festival.Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan described her a ‘Suswara Lakshmi’- the goddess of melodious voice.
            <li><strong>1963</strong> - Performed at  Edinburg International Festival of Music and Drama   </li>
             <li><strong>1966</strong> - Performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York at the United Nations General Assembly   </li>
              <li><strong>1969</strong> - Singing several songs in front of each idol in the Rameshwaram temple  </li>
              <li><strong>1970</strong> - Vishnu Sahasranamam & Bhaja Govindam Album was released.</li>
            <li><Strong>1975</strong> - TTD (Thirumala Thiruppathi Devasthanam) Starts to broadcast M.S. Subbulakshmi’s  Venkateshwara Suprabhatam at the temple.</li>
            <li><strong>1977</strong> - Music Concert at Carnegie Hall.Coast to Coast Tour of USA to raise funds for Hindu Temples in New York and Pittsburgh.</li>
            <li><strong>1982</strong> -  Traveled to London, New York, Canada, the Far East, and other places as India’s cultural ambassador. Festivals of India in London - Concert at Royal Albert Hall</li>
            <li><strong>1983</strong> -  The numeorus benefit concerts in aid of Sankara Nethralaya; a bereaved father setting up an institute at Sankara Nethralaya in memory of his son .
            <li><Strong> 1988</strong> Festival of India at Mascow. The standing ovation continued, the applauding listeners followed the artiste as she made her way out of the hall, down the staircase, and into the car on the street.
