Voronoi cellular noise with multiple octaves and some naive refraction based on the voronoi secondary distance point interpolated using the primary distance field.

  2. No worries mate, those links are absolutely amazing. Also Google pixel spirit deck if you're interested in writing shaders. GLSL is like black magic, but it's one of the most satisfying things to program. Inigo Quilez and Patricio Vivo are my heroes.
