          <Strong>Born - </strong><em>May 30th, 1908 - </em>Mel Blanc was born "Melvin Jerome Blank" in San Francisco, California
        </li>

          <strong >1918 - </strong>a young Melvin Blank begins to experiment with voices and dialects at age 10!
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1924 - </strong>Melvin Blank changes the spelling of his sur name from "Blank" to "Blanc". After a teacher claimed he would amount to nothing like his sur name: 'Blank'.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1925 to 1929- </strong>Mel joined the Order of DeMolay, a fraternal organization of young Freemasons.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1927 - </strong>Mel Blanc became one of the youngest orchestra conductors in the country, as well as beginning a career in radio.
        </li>

          <strong>1932 - </strong>Mel moves to Los Angeles, California where he met his future wife, Estelle Rosenbaum.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1935 - </strong> Mel joins KFWB; a Warner-Bros owned radio station based out of Hollywood California. 
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1936 - </strong>Mel becomes a regular on an NBC radio show titled <em>The Jack Benny Program,</em> showing off his talent for voices.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1936 - </strong>Mel joins is hired by Leon Schlesinger Productions - a production compay animating cartoons for Warnder-Bros.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1937 - </strong>The first cartoon Mel Blanc did was <em>Picador Porky</em> but he did not play the lead: Porky Pig, until later when he replaced John Dougherty, also debuting the Character Daffy Duck.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1940 - </strong><em>A Wild Hare</em> debut one of the most prominent characters in Animation history: Bugs Bunny. This sky-rocketed Blanc's stardom.
        </li>
        
        <li class="list-group-item text-left">
          <strong>1960 - </strong>Mel's exclusive contract with Warner-Bros expires. Even though his contract expired he still worked with WB as well as cartoons produced by <em>Hanna-Barbera:</em> Barney Rubble and Cosmo Spacely from <em>The Flintstones</em> and <em>The Jetsons</em> respectively.

          <strong>January 24th, 1961 - </strong> Blanc was in a collision crash that almost killed him. He was on his way into the studio to work on a commercial. His sports-car collided head on with an 18-year-old college student Arthur Rolston. Blanc was in a coma for two weeks.
        </li>

          <strong> 1961 and beyond - </strong>After Mel Blanc's accident and subsequent comma, he continued his voice career lending his voice to countless characters for two more decades until his death in 1989. An avid smoker Mel Blanc's doctors discovered he had coronary artery disease, his health diminished quickly and is survived by his son Noel Blanc.
