  1. FYI, instead of all that inline js to test if the value is 'search' or not, you can simply use the new HTML5 attribute 'placeholder'. Since we can't write code in the comments, it'll look something similar to this:

    input type="text" placeholder="Search"

  2. @cmegown I would prefer to use the placeholder attribute as well but it is not supported in Internet Explorer. IE users will get a blank input field.

  3. You are correct, apologies for assuming it was for mobile. Come on IE, get it together.
