CodePen probably won't work great in this browser. We generally only support the major desktop browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Use this one at your own risk! If you're looking to test things, try looking at Pens/Projects in Debug View.

A fully responsive menu without any need of JavaScript and using less than 200 lines of functional CSS code.

  1. Small UX issue: I couldn't close the menu by clicking the menu tab again. I had to select an item or click back onto the page. Not sure if that can be solved in pure CSS, but it could confuse or irritate users.

    Still neat though.

  2. @Tchael Good point, I've updated the pen with the fix. :)

  3. Nice design. I like it.

  4. Cool menu. A little problem though. I can't get the sliding mobile menu working on any Apple Device/Safari browsers. Nothing happens when I click the menu toggle. The sliding mobile menu works fine on Android. Any suggestions?

  5. Same problem here on iOS. Any solution to this? Maybe we need some js after all?
