Add External Stylesheets/Pens

Any URL's added here will be added as
s in order, and before the CSS in the editor. If you link to another Pen, it will include the CSS from that Pen. If the preprocessor matches, it will attempt to combine them before processing.

+ add another resource

You're using npm packages, so we've auto-selected Babel for you here, which we require to process imports and make it all work. If you need to use a different JavaScript preprocessor, remove the packages in the npm tab.

Add External Scripts/Pens

Any URL's added here will be added as s in order, and run before the JavaScript in the editor. You can use the URL of any other Pen and it will include the JavaScript from that Pen.

Use npm Packages

We can make npm packages available for you to use in your JavaScript. We use webpack to prepare them and make them available to import. We'll also process your JavaScript with Babel.

About

Born Grant Kwiecinski on May 31, 1990 in Southfield, MI - GRiZ has quickly become a house-hold name in the electronic music scene. He is a DJ and producer best known for his "show-stealing performances" that showcase him blowing away on his saxophone along with funk, electro-soul and self described 'future funk' productions. He has been active since 2011 and is the founder of All Good Records(formally known as Liberated Music).

Grant was introduced to alto sax and piano in elementary school. His earliest influence comes from the Disney movie "Fantasia", stating that he 'watched it so many times it burnt out the tape' fasinated by the fusion of visual arts and orchestrated classical music. Although no family members boast a musical bone in they're body, Grant was surrounded by music, listening to funk, jazz, blues, rock and eventually electronica. Aphex Twins and Squarepusher are a couple artists that influenced his blossoming with they're 'detail-oriented glitch style music'.

After dropping out of Michigan State University, GRiZ focused on music, frequently DJing parties at friend's faternity houses and shows in Lansing, MI. His debut album "End of the World Party" in 2011 found him popularity which earned him the chance to support bigger acts like Big Gigantic, Gramatik and Bassnectar eventually leading to his own head lining tour.

GRiZ created All Good Records to promote his music plus his electronic contemporaries; Muzzy Bear, The Floozies, and Manic Focus. It's a label that "reps old school motown soul, future funk, new disco, cutting edge electronica, and anything on the forefront of new sound." He releases all of his music for free downloads on his website.
