Agile Pixel, a busy web development agency with international clients, is looking to hire a full-time talented frontend developer to help us build beautiful, interactive websites and applications, giving our client an engaging web experiences.

About Us:

We’re a team of four developers in the UK and US. Our clients include local florists, well-known musicians, international charities and online gaming companies. We build a wide range of websites from simple CMS sites to complex web applications. We’ve got a tonne of work to do and we’re ready to grow our team. Our stack includes PHP, MySQL, Javascript, SCSS, WordPress, Craft CMS, ExpressionEngine, Laravel, Magento, Shopify and more.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Understand and help us improve our processes
  • Write clean, well-designed code
  • Produce detailed specifications and checklists
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software
  • Understand data structure concepts to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools

Compensation and Benefits:

  • £25,000 per annum
  • 28 days’ paid annual leave
  • Work from home or work from shared office space

About You:

You are located within 2 time zones of the UK (GMT+/-2 hours).

You absolutely have these skills:

  • Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS, SCSS, Javascript, and W3C compliance
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, PHP and MySQL
  • Knowledge of advanced CSS using a preprocessor (we use SCSS & Gulp)
  • Knowledge of what makes a great user experience and empathy that there's a person on the other side of the screen using what we build
  • Personable, friendly and amenable approach
  • Enjoy talking to other humans
  • Desire and willingness to take initiative
  • Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback positively
  • Passion for best design and coding practices
  • Write valid and well structured code across all languages you know
  • Understanding of cross-browser / platform compatibility issues
  • Experience integrating server-side code to produce dynamic pages
  • Passionate about emerging web technologies
  • Previous experience working on integrated projects with design and marketing teams
  • Ability to convey digital solutions to various internal and external audiences
  • Experience working with Git version control

  • Knowledge of HTML email design and build
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs
  • Experienced in AJAX techniques
  • Experience working with with ExpressionEngine, Craft, Magento, Prestashop and Shopify
