          <p> Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California on February 24, 1955. <br> As an infant, he was adopted by Clara and Paul Jobs. <br> They lived in Mountain View, California <br> which is now known as the Silicon Valley.<br> <br> Steve spent a lot of time with his father, working on electronics. <br> He taught him how to take apart and put together things.<br> <br> During school, he often pulled pranks out of boredom from not being challenged.</p>

Wozniak selling his scientific calculator.<br> The duo is credited for making computers smaller, <br> cheaper and more  accessible to everyone.<br> Their computers were initially priced at $666.666 each. <br> The Apple I earned them around $774,000. The Apple II earned them $139 million.

It was advertised <br> as a piece of counter-culture lifestyle: <br> romantic, youthful, creative. But despite positive sales<br> John Sculley, the CEO of Apple, believed Steve Jobs was hurting them. <br> The company began to phase him out.

          <p> Steve eventually left Apple in 1985 to start a new company: NeXT, Inc. <br> The next year Steve purchased an animation company from George Lucas.<br> This studio later became known as Pixar Animation Studios.<br> Believing in Pixar's potential, he invested $50 million into the company. <br> Today, Pixar movies have collectively earned $4 billion dollars.<br><br> Unfortunately, NeXT, Inc. was not successful. in 1996, Apple bought the company for $426 million.<br> The next year, Steve Jobs returned as Apple CEO. <br> <br></p>

          <p> Steve Jobs is credited as revitalizing the company in the 1990's. <br> With a new management team and a self-imposed annual salary of $1 a year,<br> Steve put Apple back on track. His ingenious products(like the iMac)<br> and effective branding caught the eyes of consumers once again. <br> <br> Unfortunately, in 2003 Steve discovered he had a cancerous tumor on his pancreas. <br> Rather than having surgery, he chose to alter his pesco-vegetarian diet<br> and weighed Eastern treatment options. <br> Steve Jobs postponed surgery for nine months. However, in <br> 2004 Steve had a successful surgery to remove his tumor.
