                <h1>Block link experiment</h1>

<p>Inspired by <a href="">Block Links Are a Pain (and Maybe Just a Bad Idea)</a>. Check out <a href="">Inclusive Components</a> by Heydon Pickering for a great example of building an accessible card component.</p>

<div class="row">
  <a class="card" href="#" aria-labelledby="card-id" aria-describedby="card-desc">
    <img id="card-img" src="" alt="" height="200" width="300">
    <h2 id="card-id">Block-level link</h2>
    <p id="card-desc">It's really difficult to select me. You have to start by clicking outside of the card and then drag over me. But what if you wanted to select just the heading? You have to open your browser's web inspector. Ain't nobody got time for that.</p>
  <article class="card" aria-labelledby="card2-id" aria-describedby="card2-desc" href="#">
    <img id="card2-img" src="" alt="" height="200" width="300">
    <h2 id="card2-id"><a href="#">Individual links</a></h2>
    <p id="card2-desc">You can easily select the text within this card, including just the heading. You could add another link inline here as well, such as <a href="#">read more<span class="u-sr-only"> on This is another heading</span></a> or <a href="#">more details<span class="u-sr-only"> about This is another heading</span></a> (check out the markup to see additional link labelling for context).</p>
  <article id="click-card" class="card" aria-labelledby="card3-id" aria-describedby="card3-desc" href="#">
    <img src="" alt="" height="200" width="300">
    <h2 id="card3-id"><a href="">Progressively enhanced link</a></h2>
    <p id="card3-desc">This card progressively enhances the click area while allowing the user to select inside via a time out. <strong>Note this really only works with a single link inside the card.</strong> Thanks to Heydon Pickering for this technique.</p>
