      	<li><strong>1951</strong> - Robin McLaurin Williams is born in Chicago, IL.</li>
      	<li><strong>1969</strong> - Graduates from Redwood High School, where he is voted "Most Likely Not to Succeed," and "Funniest" by his classmates.</li>
      	<li><strong>1970</strong> - Enrolls at Claremont Men's College to study political science. Soon after dropping out to pursue <span style="text-decoration: underline">acting</span>.</li>
      	<li><strong>1971</strong> - Begins his three year of threatrical study at the College of Marin, a community college in Kentfield, CA.</li>
      	<li><strong>1973</strong> - Attains a full scholarship to the Juilliard School in New York City, NY. Here he meets Christopher Reeve.</li>
      	<li><strong>1977</strong> - Moves to Los Angeles to pursue a full-time career in stand-up comedy. Williams meets TV producer George Schlatter, who helps propel his future career in television.</li>
      	<li><strong>1980</strong> - Stars in his first major performance as the title character in <em>'Popeye.'</em></li>
      	<li><strong>1987</strong> - Earns his first of many nominations for <span id="best-actor">Best Actor</span>, thanks to his role in <em>'Good Morning, Vietnam.'</em></li>
				<li><strong>1992</strong> - Begins to branch his career into voicing for animated movies such as <em>'Aladdin,'</em> the highest-grossing film of the year.</li>
      	<li><strong>1997</strong> - Wins an Academy Award for his role in <em>'Good Will Hunting,'</em> a film that has influenced many people since its release.</li>
      	<li><strong>2003</strong> - Williams acknowledges his addictive relationship with alcohol.</li>
      	<li><strong>2006</strong> - Checks into a substance-abuse rehabilitation center in Newberg, OR, saying he had become an "alcoholic."</li>
				<li><strong>2014</strong> - After years of fighting off past addiction and depression, Williams commits suicide in his home. News of his death spreads quickly, bringing shock to the world. He was 63 years old at the time of his passing.</li>
