CodePen probably won't work great in this browser. We generally only support the major desktop browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Use this one at your own risk! If you're looking to test things, try looking at Pens/Projects in Debug View.

Since I began programming, I have always been fascinated by procedural generation. So much so, that I started programming using GameMaker Studio, only to be so preoccupied with procgen that I never got around to making a game! After performance issues made GameMaker too slow for my interests, I switched to Javascript and HTML, and picked up where I left off.

I began work towards this tool, originally with Gamemaker, to help me more easily experiment with noise functions. I later changed my mind and decided that I wanted something for everyone else to experiment with, too. Although some fine-tuning and tinkering can produce striking images with this tool, keep in mind that its intended purpose is to allow programmers interested in procedural generation to experiment with different kinds of noise so that they can implement it elsewhere.
