                        <dd>Married his first wife, Vivian Liberto; they had four children and, in 1966, were divorced as a result of Johnny&#8217;s addition to prescription drugs and alcohol</dd>

                        <dd>Recorded many hit songs, including <i>I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, The Ballad of Ira Hayes, </i>and <i>Understand Your Man</i>. Made appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show and performed over 200 shows a year</dd>
                        <dd>Overcame drug addiction with the help of his singing partner, June Carter; they married in 1968 and their son was born in 1970</dd>

                        <dd>Recorded more hit songs, including <i>Folsum Prison Blues, Jackson, A Boy Named Sue, </i>and <i>Man in Black</i>, and received major honors, including multiple Grammys, and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also became part of The Highwaymen with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson</dd>
